ENVIRONMENTAL AND MOVEMENT FESTIVAL

Innsbruck starts spring full of energy! In a joint cooperation between Innsbruck Marketing, Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG (IKB), the provincial police directorate, the walking and cycling coordination of the city of Innsbruck, Climate Alliance Tyrol and ORF Tyrol, a large environmental and exercise festival will be held on the market square on April 11, 2026 . Following the Inn and Sill riverbank clean-up , people are invited to come together, discover and enjoy from 10 am. The police will be presenting the "SICHER am (E-)Bike" initiative, while fun play stations await younger visitors. ORF Tirol will provide live entertainment on site. And culinary delights are also provided.

The banks of the Inn and Sill are cleaned up at the start of spring

Once again this year, IKB is organizing the annual Inn riverbank clean-up. More than 20 clubs and institutions have made it their mission to clear the banks of the Inn in designated areas from O-Dorf to Kranebitten of litter and everything that does not belong in nature.

Focus on the bike - sustainable mobility and safety

In addition to the topic of the environment, exercise is also very popular right now in spring. With the "SICHER am (E-)Bike" initiative, the police want to educate and inform people and thus reduce the number of accidents and, in particular, fatal accidents. There are a few important things to bear in mind, especially when going off-road on an e-bike. In addition to the bicycle police officers, there will also be instructors on site to advise anyone interested on the correct route planning, the technical intricacies of e-bikes and the correct riding behavior on hills and in the city. The motto is: "Healthy up the mountain and healthy back down".

In order to be perfectly prepared for the cycling season, a free bike workshop is offered at the environmental and exercise festival, where bikes are checked for roadworthiness by experts and made fit for the new season.

Sporty afternoon at the spring run

True to the name of the event, the afternoon will be full of exercise. This year, we are combining the festival with the spring run, which also starts directly at the market square and is also the finish line for the sporty participants.
